Nicola is Deloitte Asia Pacific's Internal Climate and Sustainability leader and an ESG leader within Deloitte Anjin, South Korea. Prior to this Nicola was head for Deloitte UK and Europe internal sustainability strategy, WorldClimate. She has 20 years experience in business transformation, with specialism in ESG. She has worked in UK, Indonesia, Nepal, Tanzania and Mozambique.

Building Resilience to Climate Risks’ by James Hooper, Principal Sustainability Consultant at Mott MacDonald
James summited Everest at the age of 19, before completing a world-first expedition from North to South Pole using only human and natural power in 2007-8. He was awarded the National Geographic Adventurer of the Year Award in 2008 and also became a Fellow of the Royal Geographic Society in London. He received a BSc. in Geography from KyungHee University in Seoul in 2014, a PhD. in Earth & Environmental Science from The University of Wollongong, Australia in 2019, followed by a stint as an Asst Professor in the Dept. of Biological & Environmental Science at Dongguk University in Korea teaching Atmospheric Science. He is currently a sustainability consultant specialising in carbon and climate, working with clients including multi-billion dollar companies and property portfolios to help them understand their Carbon Footprints and exposure to Climate Change Risks, assisting them in setting ambitious and rigorous decarbonisation targets and improving operational resilience through adaptation strategies. James is a founder and Trustee of the One Mile Closer charity, leading hundreds of riders on cycling expeditions across Europe and Korea while raising money to build Nalango Secondary School in Uganda which currently educates 800+ pupils. He has written a book and produced a documentary under the same name. As well as delivering hundreds of talks about his adventures internationally, James has appeared on numerous Korean TV shows including JTBC’s Non-Summit and MBCevery1’s Welcome to Korea.
